Angelina Jolie Shows Us How To Wear Peplum

Angelina Jolie looked all kinds of gorgeous on the red carpet for the premier of husband Brad Pitt’s new movie World War Z wearing an architectural peplum design by Ralph & Russo.

This dress is a statement on it’s own and I think Angie nailed it by pairing it with simple white pumps and soft flowing hair. The cut is also perfect for her particular body type. Peplums are structured, nip in at the waist and flare at the hips so they create the illusion of curves and an hourglass shape, which is perfect for body types that are more straight up and down.

Celeb Look for Less

Kim Kardashian has been spotted out and about wearing a cute pair of cage booties by Christian Louboutin, YSL. While hers cost a whopping $500 you can get a look-a-like pair from the Prabel Gurung for Target collection at a much more reasonable price of $39.99.

Current Must Have: Slouchy Denim

Relaxed and slouchy is the new skinny, in denim that is. I’ve seen this look on everyone from Katy Holmes and Jennifer Aniston to flamboyantly fashion forward Gwen Stefani. Baggy denim is versatile, comfy and most of all a much needed alternative to the seen-everywhere-these-days skinny jean. My favorite way to wear them is with a wide leather belt and fitted or clingy top.

The wider the pant and the lower the cuff the shorter your legs will appear. If you’re on the short side you can give the illusion of a longer leg line by cuffing well above the ankles and pairing your slouchy jeans with a high wedge or heel in nude.

Nicole Richie 9th Annual Style Awards

Nicole Richie shed her signature boho chic look for a sultry skin baring Anthony Vaccarello dress from the designer’s Spring 2012 collection and Costume National shoes to present an award at this year’s 9th Annual Style Awards.

This daring dress could have easily turned into a trashy fashion faux pas, but the elegant clutch, clean makeup and sleek top knot kept the look stylish and sexy. It’s all in how you style it ladies. She werked it!

Miu Miu Fall 2012 Featuring Chloe Sevigny

Chloe Sevigny is still cool, but we already knew that.  I’ve admired Chloe’s confident individualism and eclectic style since she hit the scene in the 90′s, so naturally I was all over Miu Miu’s latest campaign for Fall 2012 featuring the hot actress in their signature bohemian 70′s inspired collection. I’m not going to lie though, the first thing that popped in my mind when I saw this was Austin Powers (smile).

Chloe also starred in Miu Miu’s  SS96 campaign nearly 20 years ago.

Style Inspiration Linda Rodin

Linda Rodin’s personal style is amazing, classically understated and effortlessly chic with a hint of eclecticism. Linda is a NYC based fashion stylist who’s clientele includes the likes of Revlon, Victoria Secrets, Halle Berry and Adriana Lima to name a few and she also recently started a skin care line of home-developed products called Rodin olio lusso. Judging by her glowing complexion (she’s 60 something mind you and says she wears no makeup with the exception of lipstick) and the A-list of devotees the line already has, it might be worth checking out. What an amazing style inspiration and business woman. Got to love it.
