Get the Anthropologie Look For Less

If you read this blog then you probably know I’m a huge fan of Anthropologie and if you’ve ever shopped there you also know their prices can leave a lot to be desired. Don’t get me wrong I don’t plan on giving up my Anthropology fix anytime soon, but I’m also no fool. If I can find something similar for a fraction of the cost, I’m all over it. One of my go-tos for Anthropologie like pieces at budget friendly prices is Mod Cloth. They have an adorable selection of dresses, vintage pieces that sell like hotcakes and the cutest one of kind shoes you’ll find pretty much anywhere.

One of the dresses below is from Mod Cloth and costs $140 less then the other which is from Anthropologie, can you guess which is which? Answer below…

Summer Outfit from Anthropologie

This is one of my favorite summer outfits at the moment. I love the fit of this dress and the pockets add a touch of adorable to it’s simple design. The neutral color and shape  is also great because I can literally style this dress a zillion different ways. I’ve layered it underneath a white oxford shirt tied at the waist and loose knit cardigans, paired it with bold statement necklaces and summer scarves in fun colors like the one pictured here, the options are endless. It’s also a very light fabric so it’s perfect for summer heat. This outfit is all from Anthropologie. I usually make it a habit to mix and match pieces from different stores and lines, but I make an exception for Anthropologie because I can’t help getting carried away in this store.

These items are available at Anthropologie.

The Tank Maxi Dress

Summer fashion isn’t complete without a simple tank style maxi dress, a definite wardrobe essential and the options for how to style one are endless.  My favorite way to rock this look is with a drop waist belt and flat sandals. The Little Black Dress

The little black dress is a wardrobe essential and the epitome of versatile. Depending on how you accessorize and style your LBD it can take you from the office to a night out and just about everywhere in between. When you have one of these in your closet you know you always have at least one great option for almost any occasion.

The Full Dress

I have always had a thing for A-line dresses, so needless to say I’m super happy to see them popping up just about everywhere. They’re so classically pretty and believe it or not versatile. You can rock a full dress with a leather jacket and edgy booties; stay classically demure by pairing it with a cardigan and kitten heels or wear it with a blazer and pumps for work. The full skirted dress can take you almost anywhere.

Spice Up Your Office Look

Playing with color, prints and the cut of your clothes is a great way to add some fun to your office look. The key to keeping your look professional is keeping the fun aspects of your look to a minimum. Cropped cigarette pants paired with an argyle sweater or a fitted crew neck sweater tucked into a bright colored pencil skirt gives off a little retro edge and adds tons of personality to your outfit. You can tone it down more by keeping bright hues to one piece only and pairing them with black or neutral tones.
